  2. 2010The Map of Life and its 58 territories.
  3. 2012ENISA supports the development of the platform.

  5. 2022Nominated for the World Happiness Awards.
  6. 2026Complete redesign of the personal portal.

A simple question started the project.

If we spend years training for a profession, why does nobody teach us to know ourselves?

From the question to the method

In 2005, engineer Pedro Amador publishes Autocoaching, with more than 15,000 copies sold, and decides to bring technology closer to people: a way to look at their own situation without rules that judge them.

From the method to the map

In 2010 the method grew into the «Map of Life» and its 58 territories. Those same territories are today the sub-wheels each person uses to go deeper into a specific area.

From the map to the platform

The paper exercises became an application with its own engine: a catalogue of conditions and changes built over years, one that accompanies the person instead of merely describing them.

From the platform to today's purpose

That anyone can understand how they are, decide what they want and turn it into concrete changes. And that the organisations offering it do so without intruding on that reflection.

What does not change

Four principles that shape how we design the product.

Happiness is personal

No organisation or tool can decide for a person what should make them happy.

Reflection needs action

Measuring or describing a situation is only the beginning.

Responsibility is shared

People make decisions and organisations create conditions.

Information demands respect

Wellbeing must not become surveillance or a performance review.

The people who make Happiness Play possible.
